Nursing Division
The Nursing Division is responsible for delivering a variety of health services to Orange residents.  All services exist to provide early detection and prevention of disease.

Senior Citizens Program
This program, which is partially funded by the Essex County Division on Aging, provides referral to various community resources.  Visiting nurse services are available to evaluate the health and social needs of the older adult population.  Eye screening and podiatry services are also available.  Tests and counseling for blood pressure management are held Fridays 9:00 am until 11:30 am.  For more information, call 677-4557.
 
Health Education
This program is provided to make the public aware of health issues, health needs and methods of preventing and treating disease.  For further information, call 266-4080
 
Child Health Clinic
The purpose of the program is to provide regular medical and nursing supervision of children from birth to six years of age.  The clinic services promote health and prevention of early childhood illness.  Each child is given a physical examination, immunizations as needed, screening for TB, developmental screenings, lead screening and follow-up, and vision/hearing assessment.  Lead screening for children 12 months to 6 years of age is available upon request.  Clinics are held: Monday Evenings 4:00pm-7:00pm and Wednesdays 9:00 am until 12 Noon.

Tuberculosis Program
The purpose of this program is to control, prevent, and treat tuberculosis through investigation, case finding, mantoux testing, and chest x-rays.  Health teaching, medication instructions, and information concerning tuberculosis are offered to provide a better understanding of the disease.  All services are free to Orange residents.  For further information, call 266-4076.
